An Open Door - An Insight Into Men’s Shed Northern Ireland

In the Spring/Summer of 2021 in the midst of a global pandemic a short film was created by the NI Science Festival to highlight the importance of social community organisations such as Men’s Shed.
A year on the Men and the Sheds have remained steadfast as they continue to recruit new members and endeavour to finish off the projects they started well over a year ago.
In this special event we meet again - this time face to face with the men and the people who drive these invaluable community enterprises forward.
During this lunchtime meet-up you will have a chance to watch the film again and hear directly from these individuals and members of the health and charity sectors as they reinforce the importance of mental health, friendship and a sense of purpose that comes with being a part of something like your local Men’s Shed.
- Please note this event is open to the general public sign-up is essential as spaces are limited.
