Drugs, Bugs and Plastic in the Water - Should we be worried?
Event Details

One of the greatest challenges that humanity faces is the Global Water Crisis. Many countries are facing water stress where they don't have enough fresh water resources. Increasing demands and pollution of our finite water resources is extremely worrying. Contaminants of emerging concern include pharmaceuticals, personal care products, micro-and nano-plastics, engineered nanomaterials, and antimicrobial resistant bacteria. The environmental and human health effects of these CECs are in many cases unknown.

The expert panel will give short presentations on the current situation and this will be followed by a panel discussion asking 'should we be worried?'
