Event Details
On the Connswater Community Greenway, Eastside Partnership Greenway Leaders have been carrying out kick sampling sessions in the Knock River at Orangefield Park. As a part of the NI Science Festival and their Love Your Greenway programme, we invite families to join us as we discover what lies beneath the water in our rivers.
This activity is interactive and there will be a chance for children (or big kids) to get into the river and try out a kick sampling session as well as identify the species that they find.
We advise that both adults and children come dressed appropriately for this activity -wear your wellies. If deemed unsafe to enter the river, we will still carry out an identification session.
