Building Bridges

Building Bridges
Event Details

This film, produced by Armagh Robinson Library, consists of: (a) an introduction to the Library; (b) an introduction to the theme of bridges and what the word "bridge" means in a literal sense; (c) examples from the Library collection of books and prints depicting bridges; (d) an introduction to another meaning of the words 'building bridges' (community), and (e) two stories about bridges told by storyteller Liz Weir. After viewing the film in the classroom, it is over to the pupils to try building some bridges themselves, e.g. using Lego or scrap materials. Do certain materials make a stronger bridge than others?
